Define the evaluation
Government data platforms serve different needs: opportunity discovery, capture research, spending analysis, policy monitoring, and agency acquisition. Start with the decisions your team needs to make and the evidence needed to support them.
Use a list of known awards, an upcoming recompete, and target agencies to test source coverage. Inspect original source links, update dates, duplicate handling, historical records, and export or integration options. A large source count alone does not establish relevance or completeness for your market.
GovWin IQ: product scope
Deltek's GovWin IQ is a government opportunity-intelligence product covering U.S. federal, state, local, education, and Canadian markets. It combines analyst-curated information with search, agency and company intelligence, spending analysis, alerts, and pipeline support.
Compare coverage for your actual agencies and markets, including opportunities before solicitation release. Inspect analyst context, update frequency, historical spending, and the work required to move research into capture.
Govly: product scope
Govly provides public-sector opportunity and award data for contractors, primes, distributors, OEMs, and resellers. Its product includes federal and SLED search, AI-assisted research, teaming, and CRM or API integrations.
Search a representative set of agencies and contract vehicles, including any restricted portals your team uses. Follow an opportunity into your pipeline and check which data, notes, and attachments carry over.
GovSignals: product scope
GovSignals connects government opportunity intelligence, a built-in capture CRM, AI agent playbooks, proposal work, and post-award monitoring. It serves industry teams pursuing government work and agencies managing acquisition.
Run a pursuit from its source notice into a capture record, then draft a cited response using your team's knowledge. For an agency workflow, test requirement development, market research, and evaluation support separately.
Check the handoff
A useful result must survive review and move into the team's next step.
Record the time required to produce a usable result, trace claims to original sources, and review errors or omissions. Check permissions, document exports, integrations, and ownership of the resulting records. Request deployment and data-handling details for the exact environment you intend to use; do not infer suitability for sensitive information from a general marketing claim.
Confirm the scope before buying
Compare the proposed subscription and implementation, not just the demo.
List the users, modules, data access, integrations, migration work, training, and support included in each quote. Decide which existing systems remain authoritative and test the handoffs. Keep a written acceptance checklist so your team can judge the pilot against the work it needs to complete.
