GovSignals is partnering with U.S. Special Operations Command on SOF-RACER, USSOCOM's new rapid acquisition consortium. GovSignals operates the official SOF-RACER industry portal and will host a virtual Industry Day with BMNT.
SOF-RACER is designed to move relevant commercial technology toward special operations requirements in weeks, not fiscal years. It creates one front door for companies that can solve a SOCOM problem, whether they are established defense contractors or have never held a federal contract.
A shorter path from requirement to solution
Traditional acquisition pathways can make it difficult for government teams to reach emerging technology and for commercial companies to understand where they fit. SOF-RACER changes the starting point:
- No fee to join or participate.
- Requirements issued directly to members across every capability domain.
- Short solution briefs instead of 200-page proposals.
The objective is straightforward: make it easier for USSOCOM to see credible solutions and easier for industry to understand what the mission needs, how to respond, and what happens after a downselect.
Virtual Industry Day
GovSignals and BMNT will host SOF-RACER Industry Day virtually on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 0900–1000. The session will cover what SOF-RACER is, who is eligible, how to write a brief that survives downselect, and what happens next.
The event is for companies with a capability relevant to special operations, including teams that have not previously sold to the federal government. A CAGE code or UEI is helpful, but it is not required to register interest.
The GovSignals Consortium Network
SOF-RACER is part of the GovSignals Consortium Network. GovSignals operates its official portal for membership and program communications in partnership with USSOCOM. The portal is the source for eligibility information, calls for solutions, deadlines, and the next steps available to members.
There is no fee to join. Registration adds your organization to the official SOF-RACER member list, and submitted information is used only for program communications.
